A Gift in your Will

A tradition of excellence…

Sheffield High School was founded in March 1878 by four inspirational ladies; Lady Stanley of Alderley, Maria Grey, Mary Gurney and Emily Shirreff who had the vision of an education for the girls of Sheffield. These four ladies were pioneers and believed fervently in the power and promotion of education for women.

The tradition of high academic achievement and excellence remains to this day: 135 years after its foundation, Sheffield High School was graded as excellent in all nine categories in the recent school inspection. The lead inspector commented, “Throughout the school pupils receive an excellent education so that pupils leave the school as strong, open minded and confident women who are independent and who use their initiative.”

At the heart of the school’s ethos and vision is the belief that talented and academically gifted girls from all backgrounds should have access to an education at Sheffield High School. A gift in your will can ensure that more girls in the future have access to a Sheffield High School education as well as providing outstanding equipment and facilities for our girls today.

A pledge for the future…

Leaving a gift to Sheffield High School in your will is a simple way of supporting future Sheffield High School girls and ensuring that the school continues to thrive. Whatever its size, a legacy directly benefits the School, its pupils and staff.
