Make a Donation

There are a number of ways that you can donate to The Sheffield High School Foundation. If you would like to discuss this in any more detail please get in touch with Andrea Murphy, Head of Development and Alumni Relations, on or by telephone on 0114 358 7624.Donate Now

All gifts made to The Sheffield High School Foundation are processed by the Girls’ Day School Trust and returned in full to the school (with additional Gift Aid if eligible) to benefit Sheffield High School pupils.

Regular Giving

Giving a regular gift provides the school with significant and much-valued contributions, over a time period that you choose and that is affordable and manageable to you. This can be arranged by simply setting up a Direct Debit through the GDST’s Secure Donations Page.

Make a single or regular gift online through the Girls’ Day School Trust’s Online Donations Page. All donations are processed securely and go directly to help Sheffield High School pupils.

The Online Donations Page has three options of areas to support:

SHS Foundation: Where the need is greatest – This unrestricted fund is used at the discretion of the Headmistress and Senior Leadership Team to direct donations to areas with the greatest need.

SHS Foundation: The Bursary Fund – Donations to the Bursary Fund support bursaries for girls entering the school in Year 7 and the Sixth Form and also provide extra financial assistance to these girls such as help with uniform costs, school trips and travel expenses.

SHS Foundation: The Projects Fund – Gifts are used to support projects across the school.

By Post

You can make a single donation or set up a regular gift by simply downloading, completing and returning a Donation Form. If you are a UK taxpayer and would like to make your donation eligible for Gift Aid, please sign the relevant box on the Donation Form to confirm this.

Please make cheques payable to “Sheffield High School” and send with the completed form to; Andrea Murphy, Head of Development and Alumni Relations, Sheffield High School, 10 Rutland Park, Sheffield, S10 2PE.

Remembering Sheffield High School in your Will

You may feel that the most appropriate form of giving is through leaving a gift to the school in your Will. To discuss this in more detail and in confidence or to request a legacy brochure, please contact Andrea Murphy using the details below, who will be able to help you. Alternatively, visit the A Gift in your Will page.

Gift Aid

The Girls’ Day School Trust is a registered charity (no. 306983) and so if you are a UK taxpayer, your gift may qualify for tax benefits and would increase the value of your gift at no extra cost to you.

If you make a “Gift Aid Declaration” on the Donation Form online or over the phone, HM Revenue and Customs will increase your gift to us by 25p for every £1 you give.

If you pay higher rate tax, you may reclaim the difference between the basic rate and higher rate of tax on the gift value through your self assessment tax return. This could enable you to make a larger gift at no additional cost to yourself.

We also welcome contributions via CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) or other charitable trusts and foundations. See for more information.

Making a donation from the USA

Alumni and friends living in the USA are able to make a tax-efficient gift to Sheffield High School through the British Schools and Universities Foundation, Inc (BSUF). The BSUF is a non-profit, tax-exempt foundation that will process your gift in the US on behalf of the Girls’ Day School Trust and Sheffield High School. For more information visit or contact Alison on the details below.
