Sixth Form Centre

The Sixth Form Centre nestles on the edge of the main school campus in the middle of Sheffield’s student community. This enviable position in the centre of Broomhill (between the University and the Botanical Gardens) places our students at the heart of the most vibrant, diverse and student-friendly city in the region. There are strong links between the school, local universities and the wider community that will all enhance and enrich your time as a student at Sheffield High School.

The recently refurbished and extended Sixth Form Centre is in a separate building, housing common rooms, teaching rooms and tutorial bases. The Learning Resource Centre provides access to key study materials, laptop computers and a wealth of careers resources in our dedicated Careers Library. All this allows you to enjoy a distinctive and enviable Sixth Form experience that bridges the gap between school and university. As well as a modern and bright common rooms where you are free to prepare a lunch of your choice, you can enjoy the secluded and leafy grounds which surround the Sixth Form and make a great space to relax and unwind with friends. Our students also make the most of the wide variety of cafés and sandwich bars in the friendly and cosmopolitan suburb of Broomhill.
