SHS Trampolining teams qualify for National Finals!

Following on from their huge success at Regional and North of England levels, the Sheffield High School Trampolining squad will be bouncing to Birmingham on March 9th 2008 to take part in the National Trampoline Championships.

Each of the girls will be performing two routines – one set and one voluntary – and their average marks will determine their final scores. Olivia Sutton and Thalia Caddy will be competing individually in the Under 19 closed and Under 15 closed age ranges respectively whilst also representing the Sheffield High School Under 19 and 15 teams. The teams that qualified from the North Championships include two pairs of sisters, Emily and Sophie Green and Morgan and Maxine Sykes. Jess Brinkley, Katie Rendall and Ellie Bostock are also in these teams!
In December 2005, Sheffield High School was awarded the Daily Telegraph/Norwich Union Award for the Best Independent School for Sport. Over one third of all Senior School girls take part in extra-curricular sport and an average of 35 titles are won each year at city, county, regional and national levels. The Under 19 Closed Trampolining teams have been placed second at the National Championships for the last two years.
We congratulate the girls on their achievements to date and wish them the best of luck for Saturday’s competition.
