Bronze for England at the World Ski Champs!
England Skiers
Sheffield High School pupils gained bronze above traditional skiing countries when they represented England in the ISF World Championships!
Imogen Yardley (14), and sisters Olivia Parker (14) and Heidi Parker (17) from Sheffield have just returned from the ISF World Schools Skiing Championships. The races, organised by the International School Sport Federation (ISF), were held in the ski resort of L’Alpes D’Huez in France. The 3 girls from Sheffield High School were selected for the England team along with 7 other girls and 10 boys. Considering that the team was selected from all over the country, it is a great achievement that 3 of the team are all from the same school!
At the Championships they helped England do the best they’ve ever done before, with the younger girls team being placed third in the world ahead of massive skiing nations including Austria and Germany!
The girls said, “We really enjoyed the experience, we made new friends from many different countries and it was great to represent England!”
