‘Children in Need’ fund raising at Sheffield High
Fund raising at the FOSH Craft Fayre
The pupils at Sheffield High School joined millions of people around the country in raising funds for Children in Need last week and took part in a wide range of activities whilst the parent association FOSH (Friends of Sheffield High) held their annual Craft Fair on the Friday afternoon.
The total of over £1600 and still rising was from:
• cake sales
• raffling cuddly Pudsey Bears & tickets for X Factor
• non-uniform day where each senior pupil had to pay £1 to come in non uniform
• games and competitions
One girl fifteen year old Jessica Brailey in Year 11 had the idea to create ‘I’m with Pudsey’ coloured bands which she had made especially over in USA! She has raised over £800 with the help of her friends manning the stall over the last two weeks!
Last week our Junior School (Year 4, 5 and 6) also baked buns & biscuits to sell after lunch to all the junior school & a few seniors too! They raised £160 to buy their first School in a Box for Unicef, the Junior School chosen charity this year.
