Vacancy for a Head of Science

Following the internal promotion of the current post holder to the School Leadership Team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a well-qualified and dynamic teacher to lead this large and outstandingly successful department.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of high achievement in a middle management role and be experienced in teaching either Biology or Chemistry to A-level.
Science is the largest department in the school with a team of 15 specialist teachers and 3 technicians. Biology and Chemistry are the most popular subjects at A-level, with approximately 50 students per year opting for each subject.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the school’s thriving extra-curricular programme.

Following the appointment of the current post holder to a Headship, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Junior Leadership Team of our happy, thriving and highly successful school.
The successful candidate will be fully involved in whole school strategic planning and will be required to co-ordinate teaching and learning at Key Stage 2. She/he will be a dynamic and innovative teacher and will also have responsibility for leading curriculum development in a core subject.
