Fun with Maths!
Year 7 having fun on our Maths Day!
Last Tuesday, Y7 Students at Sheffield High School took part in a Maths Activity Day. The girls worked in small groups throughout the day and produced posters displaying their findings and solutions to problems. They were rewarded with prizes for their exceptional teamwork skills, creativity and mathematical accuracy.
The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all and illustrated that maths can be fun. One girl said ‘it was a great way to make new friends!’ and another said, ‘I will never forget maths day because I didn’t realize that you can enjoy maths so much!’
At the end of the afternoon, parents were invited in to school and were given the opportunity to view the work that was produced and the prizes were presented to the winning teams by the Headteacher, Mrs Dunsford.
