Girls Get Graphical for Saatchi Gallery!
An example of SHS work displayed on the Saatchi Gallery -by Daisy Curtis Y12
Sheffield High girls have reached a new perception of excellence with their work on show in the Saatchi Gallery website! This is the beginning to a worldwide competition which involved entering students work onto the Saatchi website. Various outstanding pieces were chosen, which were then photographed or scanned and uploaded onto the website. The images can be viewed from all corners of the globe by searching the school name or city and every year a panel of judges will chose the winners. The top prize of £10,000 will be given to the winning pupil’s art department and here at Sheffield High we are determined that the prestigious prize winner is among our exceptional entries!
Log on to www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk to check out the site, to VIEW WORK only you will see a tab at the top called ‘school visits and prizes’ click on it – then go about half way down the next screen you need to click on the red speech bubble that says ‘Saatchi online art prize for schools’ – then enter the school name or city and you will see our work there!
