New head girl team at SHS
Our new head girl team
Isabel Rughani, Tayla Furniss and Jessica Waring have become the new head girls for Sheffield High School. They were voted for by their fellow pupils and have already started their duties “starting with a mass prefect meeting”.
Head Girl Isabel (17) from Fulwood is studying Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Music with the hope to study Natural Sciences at either Cambridge or Bristol. In her spare time Isabel plays chess, scrabble, badminton and piano, in which she is currently doing a diploma. Isabel is “over the moon” about becoming head girl and warns teachers “you should be worried” as they have so many exciting plans in place for the school next year!
Tayla (16) from Broomhill wishes to study medicine at either Cambridge or Newcastle. The deputy head girl now studies Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Spanish and takes part in Speech and Drama as well as Dance.
Jessica (17) from Whiston, who completed charity work with the Rotherham group PHASE now works at BMW as well as at Sheffield High Junior School. She was the Young Ambassador for Rotherham and is currently studying Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Business Studies with the aim of going into teaching.
