Olivia bounces to become National Champion!
Olivia National Champion and team take bronze!
Sixteen year old Olivia Sutton from Ecclesall took the National Title at the National Schools Trampolining Under 19 Closed Championships whilst the Sheffield High School team came home with bronze!
The National Schools Championships were held in Birmingham on 9th March where the girls performed well in their set and voluntary routines. The Sheffield High School teams have an excellent record at these finals with silver in 2006 and 2007. The team was made up of Olivia along with Morgan Sykes (aged 15) of Hope in Derbyshire, Emily Green (aged 16 ) of Sandygate and Jessica Brinkley (aged 16) of Ranmoor. The Under 15 Sheffield High School team were placed 5th and individual Thalia Caddy coming in 7th in the whole country!
Olivia, who still has two more years in this competition, was over the moon at her National Title and team Bronze. She said “The team spirit has been fantastic this year. We could not have achieved bronze without the help of our coaches.”
