Peter Clarke
As you may already be aware, Peter Clarke, who taught Physics for many years at the School, died as the result of a tragic accident recently while on holiday in the Alps.
Peter was a native of Widnes in Lancashire and had taught in Guyana in the West Indies for a time. On his return to England, he taught briefly at a Jesuit school in Liverpool before getting a job as Head of Science at a school in North London. Peter moved to Sheffield around 1990 to be nearer his wife’s family and it was at this time that he was appointed his job at the High School. Peter leaves behind Heather, his wife, together with their daughter Marianne.
Arrangements have now been made for the funeral which will take place at St John’s Ranmoor at 11.00am on Saturday 24 July.
