High Times
Published at the end of the Autumn term, High Times looks back on the previous school year. Written by the girls themselves, the 52-page school magazine contains staff, student and subject news, reports on extra-curricular activities, outside competitions, drama, sport and overseas trips, and a creative writing section.
New Zealand/Fiji 2005 Sports Tour Programme
Summer 2005 saw the School’s netball and hockey squads in New Zealand and Fiji, testing their sporting skills against strong international opposition, experiencing new cultures and making new friendships.
Australia 2001 Sports Tour Programme
For two weeks in July 2001 the School’s netball and hockey squads toured Australia, playing local teams and competing in the International Youth Invitation Sports Challenge. Girls aged 14 to 18 took part on the tour, which provided not only invaluable competitive challenges, but also unique experiences of different cultures, and many lasting memories.
Millennium Gala Performance Programme
Held on 13 March 2000 at the Octagon Centre, this gala performance featured music, dance and drama by students of Sheffield High School. It celebrated the 122nd anniversary of the foundation of the School and the start of a new millennium, and raised valuable funds for the then Minerva Bursaries’ Appeal (now the GDST Alumnae Network Appeal), which funds assisted places for girls whose families have been hit by sudden crisis.
Souvenir Programme for the Opening of the Sports Hall and Sixth Form Centre
A major part of the School’s £8.5 million building development, the brand new Sports Hall and converted Sixth Form Centre were formally opened on 12 March 1999.
