Science

Through lessons, extra-curricular activities and our own enthusiasm for the subject the Science department aims to provide the best possible learning experience for each pupil and to promote a knowledge and understanding of
• Life and living processes (with special reference to humans)
• Materials and their properties
• Physical processes
• Geological events

At GCSE the department offers courses in the individual sciences of Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Science and Additional Science. All courses include an investigative skills assessment written by the examination board and carried out during science lessons.

Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Geology are offered at both AS and A2 levels. All subjects have a coursework component.
