Uniform

Senior School Uniform

Uniform in the Senior School (Years 7 to 11) is as follows –

Parents are kindly requested to assist us in ensuring that their daughters are wearing school uniform correctly –

  • skirts not rolled over at the waist
  • jumpers should not have holes in the cuffs
  • no jewellery except for one small gold or silver stud in each ear
  • Make-up and nail varnish are not permitted for any ages other than Sixth Form
  • scarves, gloves and hats should be navy or black and should only be worn for journeys to and from school and during the lunch break
  • boots should not be worn except in snowy weather
  • in PE Lessons, the girls must wear supportive trainers
  • Canvas pumps are not allowed as school or sports footwear

Please ensure that all items are named so that lost property can be reunited easily with its owner. It would be helpful if parents could make sure that their daughters mend any holes or fraying on the cuffs of jumpers.

Hair should be of a natural colour with no unnatural coloured extensions or highlights.

If girls persistently arrive in school inappropriately dressed, we will ask parents to collect them from school.

Parents of Year 9 girls are reminded that, when their daughters move into Year 10 in September, they are required to wear the plain navy skirt. Please note that skirts shold never be any shorter than 4” (10cms) above the knee. Girls whose skirts are shorter than this will be asked to buy a new one.

  • Please note that all uniform infringements are recorded in our Blue Book (and will be visible on the Learning Gateway), as explained in the girls’ planners and that repeated infringements are reported on in the end of year report.
