Sheffield High's Netball Team Nets the Nationals!
Sheffield High School's Under-14 netball team jumping for joy at reaching the national finals
Sheffield High School’s Under-14 netball team has just qualified for the National Netball Finals for the second year running!
The team is now training hard for the finals which will take place Saturday 17 March at Basildon Sporting Village in Essex. Here they’ll meet the top two teams from all the nine regions in England to play off for the National Trophy.
The Sheffield High School teams had already qualified in all three age groups as U14, U16 and U19 South Yorkshire Champions through to the regional round which was held at Ashville in Harrogate.
The U19 team were placed fifth overall in Yorkshire & Humberside and the U16 team narrowly missed qualifying for the National Finals by just 2 goals! The Under-14 team won all but their last game, losing by only one goal to Leeds, so qualified through to the nationals in runner-up position.
