Happy New Year! There was red everywhere when the girls at Sheffield High Junior school celebrated Chinese New Year. The Infants and Juniors took part in a wide range of activities, with support from members of the Sheffield Confucius Institute, who helped the girls with some Chinese cookery and T’ai Chi. There was Chicken Chow Mein, Sweet and Sour Pork and Vegetable Stir Fry for lunch. In the afternoon, Sheffield’s Lion Dancers entertained the girls and several of their parents, including Sheffield United’s Ji Hai Sun, who later presented girls from Y3 with certificates for their Chinese projects. 26 Jan 2009
