‘Dress of Cards’ takes the silver medal! Trampoline Triumphs! Sheffield High School have bounced their way to the Under 15 National Trampolining Title!The SHS trampolining squads, who had qualified through the earlier area and regional rounds, attended the National Schools Trampolining Championships at Rocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre in Birmingham last week. They have been extremely successful in their quest with the under 19 closed team placing runners up in the whole country and the under 15 closed team winning the glorious title of national champions! Not only did they achieve the national champion title and runners up medals; Thalia Caddy was placed 2nd individually within the Under 19 competition. Lauren selected as U17 England Netball Captain! Year 11 pupil Lauren Potter was recently selected not only to play for the England U17 netball team but also to captain the side in the U17 Netball European Championships held in Gibraltar. World Book Day at SHS Reading was high on the agenda when the girls at Sheffield High Junior School celebrated World Book Day. As well as taking part in a Readathon to raise money for the Roald Dahl Foundation and Clic Sergant the girls held a Book Fair at the Broomhill school. The highlight of their celebrations was dressing up as their favourite book character, led by Katherine Russell – the Junior School Librarian – who spent the day as Alice in Wonderland. 9 Mar 2009
