junior art winners at Crystal Peaks.JPG
Junior school pupils awarded in Urban Arts Competition In spite of the freezing temperatures outside, two ten year old pupils at the Sheffield High School were beaming, as they were presented with their prizes at Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre. The two girls were entered for the Urban Arts Competition at Crystal Peaks, by their teacher and had to submit a picture based on the theme of the Four Seasons. Abigail Morton won First Prize, an IPOD Touch, for her painting of a hot air balloon on a Summer’s Day. Alex Harrison claimed Third Prize for her painting of Daffodils, representing ‘Springtime’. The girls were delighted to learn that their paintings will be reproduced as murals on the walls of Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre, by a professional artist. Well done to both Abigail and Alex! 25 Jan 2010
