Tanith Wilkinson England Water Polo Talent Squad!
Tanith Wilkinson Water Polo
Year 9 pupil Tanith Wilkinson at Sheffield High School has been selected for the England Water Polo 95/96 Talent Squad!
Tanith (aged 14) as a strong swimmer decided to attend the Sheffield Water Polo Academy last year to extend her experience in swimming. Once there she was put forward for the Regional Training Centre for Water Polo which is the first rung of the ladder toward playing for a GB team. Tanith was also invited to the annual camp held at Millfield School in Somerset run by the National Academy of Water Polo from which she was selected as a member of the England Water Polo 95/96 Talent Squad.
‘My friends call me “The Fish”, probably because when I am not a school I am in water,’ says Tanith, ‘I was invited to Crystal Palace for the weekend to train but this time as a member of the England Water Polo 95/96 Talent Squad. I was so excited when I received the letter that I accepted the place straight away.’
