The Girls’ Day School Trust
Sheffield High School is part of The Girls’ Day School Trust – the GDST. Since its foundation in 1872, the Trust has been at the forefront of education for girls and a strong voice promoting opportunities for women.
The GDST consists of 29 schools throughout England and Wales and, with an annual turnover in excess of £130m, is the largest group of independent schools in the UK. The GDST is also involved in a franchise for a small number of schools in China. More than 250,000 girls have benefited from the Trust’s distinctive brand of academic quality, educational breadth and intellectual openness which provides quality control over the breadth of the country and a female network for life.
