Whistle happy!
Our netball umpires at the High Five SY Finals!
The whistle has blown at Sheffield High School – and this time by the pupils!
The pupils at Sheffield High School have been given opportunities to become officials at some top junior competitions around South Yorkshire this term:
• Seven girls aged 14 to 18 were invited by the South Yorkshire Competition Managers to officiate at the South Yorkshire High 5 held at the EIS. These girls are working towards the Youth Umpire Award in Netball having been taken through a course by Sheffield High School. The SY Managers and staff at the schools were very impressed by the level of umpiring of all the games by these seven students.
• Four other Y11 students were complimented on the way they umpired at the U13 mini hockey championships where PE staff could concentrate on coaching as they umpired the whole tournament.
