at GCSE, 76% of the grades awarded in 2010 were at A*/A grades (nationally it’s just over 22%), with 40% of the results being at A*. Almost three quarters of our Year 11 girls gained A* or A grades in all their subjects. Our overall pass rate at GCSE was 98.5%, compared with the rate nationally of 69%. Over a quarter of our Year 11 students gained seven or more A* grades, with many individuals achieving 10 or even 11 A* passes!
at A-level, 20% of the grades awarded in 2010 were at A* (nationally it’s 8%). 55% of our girls gained grades A* or A in their subject, compared to 35% nationally. Almost half our students achieved straight ‘As’ across all their subjects. The breakdown of our results shows that, in the school’s unrivalled eighth year of a 100% pass rate, 93% of our students achieved grades A* to C, with 55% of grades being A* or A. One student gained five A* grades and 7 of the girls achieved three A* grades or more!
