SHS in the News
Win, Win and Win again in the County Round of National Schools!
SHS Netball Teams South Yorks Champs!
In the South Yorkshire County round of the National Schools Netball Competition, our school made a fantastic effort. Teams from Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster all competed in order to qualify for the next stage of the competition, the Regional Round, which takes place on the 31st January next year at Wickersley School in Rotherham.
With this round being the best attended competition in over 5 years, the pressure was on for everyone with a high standard of play coming from every team. Our school pulled it out of the bag though. The following teams won in their age categories and therefore qualify for the next stage of the competition.
U14
Winners: Sheffield High School
Runners up: King Edwards
U16
Winners: Sheffield High School
Runners up: Notre Dame
U18
Winners: Sheffield High School
Runners up: Silverdale
Many congratulations to all of the girls who competed and we all wish them the best of luck in the rest of the competition.
