I hope our website offers you some insight into our incredible school community, here in the heart of Sheffield.
Since 1878 we have been at the heart of all-girls education in Yorkshire and are proud to continue to achieve amongst the top academic results in the region each year. In December 2025, we were named the Top Independent Secondary School in the North by the Sunday Times, and UK Prep School of the Year and our ethos of mutual respect and care is on display in the corridors and classrooms of our through school, every day.
At Sheffield Girls’ every pupil is valued for her own talents and interests and encouraged as an individual to question, challenge and be a curious and engaged learner. Our pupils and staff alike live the school values of courage, kindness and positivity, within our friendly and nurturing environment.
Whether joining us in Infants, Juniors, Seniors or Sixth Form, our pupils quickly settle into life at school and feel known, understood and celebrated for the individuals they are.
