Joining Sheffield Girls’
We know that you are making an important decision about your daughter’s future and we want to make the process of joining Sheffield Girls’ as straightforward as possible.
Our main points of entry are Reception, Year 7 and Year 12, but we also welcome applications to all year groups throughout the school year. The admissions process is managed via our online admissions portal, where you will be able to track your daughter’s application at every stage.

Visit Us
The best way to experience the warmth and enthusiasm of our pupils and teachers at Sheffield Girls’ is to come and visit. We would encourage you to book an appointment to see the school, or visit us during one of our open events. Get in touch and book your visit.
If you would like further information or need help with any part of the admissions process, please contact our Registrar Louise Froggatt by phone on 0114 3587602 or by email to L.Froggatt@she.gdst.net.
Virtual Visits
Our Virtual Open Events are designed to give you an insight into life at Sheffield Girls’ and can be experienced at a time convenient to you. They feature interviews with members of our Leadership Team, pupils and parents, as well as detailing our curriculum and co-curricular offer.
Scholarships and Bursaries
Sheffield Girls’ is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), a leading educational charity and the largest group of independent girls’ schools in the UK.
If your daughter would benefit from the education and all-round experience which Sheffield Girls’ is able to offer, but your family is not in a position to cover the full fees, you may be eligible for a GDST bursary.
We aim to focus our bursary fund support towards girls for whom the chance of a GDST education would be a transformative, life-changing prospect and many of our bursaries are valued at 80% or more of fees.
Our scholarships are not means-tested and are awarded on the basis of academic and subject specific performance and are small financial and other awards.
