The Alumnae Network
The Alumnae Network is a hugely valuable resource to connect you, as a sixth form student, with members of our community of former pupils and staff as well as other sixth form students across the GDST network. Make the most of these connections and get support with your EPQ, advice on University courses or ask questions about a specific career pathway.
GDST Life is the online gateway to the GDST community. Our sixth formers can sign up using their school email address to access online resources for UCAS applications, workshops, podcasts and opportunities to apply for trust wide awards and scholarships. Once they leave school they will be upgraded to an alumnae profile so that they can access mentoring and university and school specific groups.
Downloading the Rungway app allows students to connect with alumnae from across the GDST. Post a question anonymously and receive replies from former students from all GDST schools. From industry advice on mechanical engineering to degree apprenticeships and career pathways to film production Rungway allows our students to view previously asked questions and their answers and to post their own question.
Support in School
Our Head of External Relations, Mrs Gardner is based in the Sixth Form building and looks after the school’s alumnae network. Our pupils are able to get in touch with her directly or attend her lunch time clinic to find out more about getting the advice and support that they need.
“I got in touch with Giovanna (Class of 2012) through the Alumnae Network. It was extremely useful, she talked me through her experience becoming an actuary and even offered to help me in the future!
I received so much help, knowledge, and guidance, and it was an amazing opportunity to speak to her. Talking with Giovanna has made me more certain of my future.”
