In the Infant and Junior School, our Explorer programme is a defining part of a Sheffield Girls’ education. From the very earliest years, our girls regularly step beyond the classroom to learn through movement, exploration and experience.

This week we are celebrating our school’s birthday and during whole school assembly we came together to reflect on 148 years of Sheffield Girls’ and to commemorate the long, illustrious history that we continue to build together.

Sport has long been part of the fabric of life at Sheffield Girls’.

At Sheffield Girls’, our approach to EdTech has never been about novelty; we treat EdTech as infrastructure, not an event. As a Google Reference School, we focus on purposeful use of technology, underpinned by strong digital literacy and ethical thinking.

At Sheffield Girls’ Infant School, we think carefully about how we craft an environment where our girls’ joy isn’t a byproduct of their education; it’s actively nurtured.

At Sheffield Girls’ Sixth Form, the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) forms a key part of our Year 12 curriculum. Worth up to half an A Level in UCAS points the vast majority of our Year 12 students elect to undertake an EPQ and conduct their own independent research project, equipping them with essential skills needed to excel at university and beyond.
