A Christmas Movie Night for Year 9
On 27 November the Year 12 enrichment Leadership group organised a Christmas movie evening for Year 9. They surveyed the year group beforehand to allow them to choose their favourite Christmas film, which turned out to be Nativity.
The sixth-formers decked out the Sixth Form Hall in Christmas decorations and greeted their Year 9 visitors with hot chocolate (with cream and marshmallows, of course!) and popcorn. A pop up photo booth and raffle was also included in the cost of the ticket. All profits will be donated to the Cathedral Archer Project. The event was a great success and plans are already being made for the next one!
Kimran Singh-Sall, who helped to run the project, said: ‘Organising this event definitely made us use and improve our teamwork and communication skills. We also had to think on our feet when we arrived to set up and found the Sixth Form Hall already in use for the Year 12 Conflict Coaching training!’
