Sheffield High's Trampolining Teams Sweep the Board!
Sheffield High School’s trampolining teams made a clean sweep of all the titles in the closed section at the Regional Championships recently as well as the Under-15 Elite Championship. At the Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Championships, not only did the Sheffield High A-Teams win every age group, but the B-Teams also came in second!
In addition to the team victories and runners-up in each age category, the Under-19 individuals placed in the top three, so qualifying in their own right were:
- 1st: Paige Winspear
- 2nd: Victoria Wensley
- 3rd: Hannah Grundy
At Under-15 level it was:
- 1st: Chloe Pryce
- 2nd: Grace Walker
- 3rd: Eve Coley
In the Under-13 age group it was:
- 1st: Lulu Lorente-Carr
- 2nd: Scarlett Mishin
- 3rd: Anna Eason
In the Under-15 Elite competition, Sophie Akhavan-Hezaveh was runner-up.
All seven teams and these individuals are getting ready to bounce in the North Zone finals in Wigan.
Recently it was also good news for fourteen year old Sheffield High School gymnast Eloise Boneham-Hoare who won a gold medal at the Yorkshire Gymnastics competition. This came on the back of success in a regional competition for both her and her younger sister, ten year old Emilia.
