From the moment they join us at Sheffield Girls’ Senior School, we encourage our pupils to discover their strengths and passions while preparing for a bright future. Our curriculum blends traditional, scientific, and creative subjects, offering 23 GCSE options alongside the core curriculum. All girls study three separate sciences, two modern languages, and Latin during their time in senior school, ensuring a rich, balanced education which inspires every student to achieve their best.
Girls of Steel
Our Senior School Girls of Steel programme empowers students with the confidence, resilience, and leadership skills needed for success. Designed to inspire independent thinking and self-belief, it provides opportunities for them to take on new responsibilities, challenge themselves, and grow as individuals.
Pupils develop key life skills through mentoring, teamwork, public speaking, and problem-solving, alongside initiatives such as leadership roles, peer coaching, and community projects. The programme encourages them to step out of their comfort zones, learn from setbacks, and embrace challenges with courage and positivity.
Through engaging workshops, real-world experiences, and supportive guidance, Girls of Steel nurtures strong, capable young women who are ready to shape their futures with confidence.
