Co-Curricular Activities and School Trips

We offer our girls a broad and vibrant range of co-curricular activities and trips, both in and outside of the classroom.

Life at Sheffield Girls' is about much more than academic success. It's also about trying new things, learning new skills, making new friends, and focussing on personal development.

One of the real attractions of our school is the opportunity to take part in a wide range of co-curricular activities and clubs. We provide an extensive range of co-curricular activities meaning we can provide the key elements to compliment well-rounded education and help our girls with their own personal growth, learning about teamwork, leadership, perseverance and creativity. There are a diverse range of clubs and some of the best extracurricular activities to suit every girl across the school, enabling them to learn something new and nurture their talents and skills. Opportunities are also available for older pupils from the Senior School to support clubs and activities held for Infant & Junior girls, an amazing chance to learn leadership skills and become role models.

We also incorporate our co-curricular activity programme into wider school initiatives to support our girls as they flourish into positive, kind and courageous people. Junior School pupils participate in the Girl of Steel Award, an in-school scheme that encourages our girls to be engaged holistically in academic study, co-curricular activities and service opportunities for the school, community and wider world. Year 7 and 8 pupils participate in the Pre Senior Baccalaureate, which brings together a vibrant, engaging and relevant academic curriculum with character education, co-curricular involvement, community activities, and roles of responsibility and leadership. To learn more about our Forging Futures programme that provides enrichment opportunities in the Sixth Form, visit our Sixth Form pages.

We take our girls outside the classroom too, on educational trips, perhaps a Duke of Edinburgh expedition, or to an event with one of our community partnerships.
