Year 12 pupil wins paid internship with the Bank of England

We’re delighted to announce that one of our fantastic Year 12 students, Molly Shah, has been selected as a winner of the Bank of England’s Innovation competition and will be taking up a paid internship as her prize.

This wonderful opportunity allowed students to explore their creative flair and demonstrate their passion for data science, and winners will be joining the bank for their placements this summer.

In a very timely brief, students were asked ‘How can artificial intelligence (AI) shape the mission of the Bank of England?’. In Molly’s video response she created a compelling and clear case, which you can view here: https://youtu.be/Zdg9kkKovQ0

The mission of the competition is to promote the good of the people of the United Kingdom, by maintaining monetary and financial stability.

With the competition open to students 16 years and above, including university and postgraduate students, Molly’s achievement is all the more impressive.

Congratulations to Molly!
