Welcome from the Head
I am delighted to welcome you to our community here at Sheffield Girls’ Infant and Junior School and I hope the following pages help shine a light on the exceptional education we offer to girls from Reception through to Year 6.
We were delighted to be named Independent Prep School of the Year. It’s hard to express in just a few lines what it is that makes our school such a special and joy-filled environment in which our girls thrive.
The focus and dedication of our caring and committed teachers provides a unique classroom setting where our small groups of pupils are known individually and have their learning tailored to their needs.
We enjoy the use of state of the art facilities: a dedicated infant building with outdoor learning zones and small group teaching zones; STEM rooms; art and music studios; extensive sports spaces and so much more, all within our green and spacious grounds.
Our Fusion Curriculum and our focus on character education and the growth mindset, provides a fantastic balance between academic progression and personal development. Every pupil can grow and flourish, whatever her strengths.
A huge range of extra-curricular clubs and activities, sports teams, trips and visits throughout the year, means our pupils are engaged with the world beyond the classroom and can develop their confidence and skills and take part in events throughout the year which inspire and enthuse.
I think what really makes our Infant and Junior School so extraordinary are the girls themselves. I never fail to be impressed by their enthusiasm, energy, thirst for learning and their mature and caring approach to each other. Our pupils truly live our school values of courage, positivity and kindness and I feel incredibly proud and lucky to get to work with them, every day.
Do come and see our school for yourself. It would be my pleasure to show you around and introduce you to some of our budding superstars of the future.
