10 Years of Song

Sheffield High School for Girls and Birkdale School Sixth Form Choir is looking to organise a reunion to mark 10 years of song.  The schools want to reunite singers from the joint choir, which started in 2007, for a celebratory concert in Sheffield on Sunday December 17.

Organisers at Sheffield Girls’ and Birkdale want to hear from former choir members interested in joining them to gather together at Birkdale School’s Heeley Hall for rehearsals between 1.30-5pm and then for the final performance at 5pm on the same day.

Director of Music, Frau Wallace, said: “It has been ten years since Mr Jordan and I set up the joint Sheffield Girls' and Birkdale School Sixth Form Choir and a decade on, it feels the right time for a reunion.

"To mark the 10th anniversary, we are looking to track down former choir members for one huge reunion party.  If you were part of the choir, we would like to invite you to join us on December 17 when we will be gathering 10 years of choristers for music, wine and nibbles. And please do pass on the message to friends and choirmates."

“We'll combine Green Book Carols with a decade of catching up, followed by a festive concert for friends and family.”
