An Afternoon of Sport with Nottingham High School

Sheffield Girls’ Year 5 and Year 6 teams from our Junior School travelled to Nottingham for a wonderful afternoon of sport with our friends at Nottingham Girls' High School on Wednesday 24 January, Year 5 played hockey and Year 6 a netball tournament, with other independent schools from around the local area.

The Hockey was amazing and all girls played incredibly well, improving their match play tremendously! The girls drew two matches, lost one and won one. Mrs Dickson and Mrs Revitt were very proud of the girls’ achievements. One Year 5 said: ‘We never gave up and everyone was very positive, I was so excited to play!’

The netball was equally as exciting, with the girls demonstrating lots of courage perseverance and determination. The results were mixed and all girls played well. One Year 6 said: ‘It was really thrilling and a joy to represent the School!’
