Four reach the Oxford Debating Competition Finals

On Friday 10 March, four of our Year 11 Debaters, Mia Harrison, Kimran Singh-Sall, Beth Kearsley and Courteney Plester, travelled to Oxford University to compete in the finals of the Oxford Schools’ Competition.

The top 100 teams from the UK, Canada, Hong Kong, Eastern Europe and the Middle East took part, with the standards being incredibly high.

The competition was won by Westminster and, although they didn’t make the semis, our girls performed exceptionally well against students who we would not be surprised to see in parliament in the future.
