Sheffield Girls’ students excel at Independent Schools Mock Trial Competition

On Saturday 2nd March our Sixth Form legal eagles students showcased their knowledge  at the Independent Schools Mock Trial competition hosted at Nottingham High School. This exciting opportunity saw students engage in each of the processes of a mock criminal trial, and their efforts were a culmination of their work throughout this year as participants in our Law enrichment course, which is one of the options within the Sixth Form Forging Futures programme.

Amidst a day of passionate debates and collaborative teamwork, our exceptional students emerged with victories in two out of three trials. Notably, one of our teams triumphed against the overall winning team, highlighting the calibre of talent and preparation exhibited by our students.

Congratulations to Esme, Olivia, Emily, Chinonso, Amelie S, Chloe, Maddie, Isbah, Bess, Connie, Amelie G, Ellen, Sanjana, Isobel, and Aida.Their exemplary display of maturity, dedication and eloquence reflects their dedication to the course and their broader positive contribution to our school community. Their months of diligent preparation and hard work have paid off.

Congratulations to all participants on the day, we look forward to celebrating their future successes in the realms of law and beyond.
