Mr Jon Dunn

Jon Dunn is a Senior Investment Director in the Sheffield office of Investec Wealth & Investment. He is also a trustee of Cherrytree, an organisation in Sheffield that provides accommodation and support for homeless young people between the ages of 16 and 21, a trustee of the Taptonholme care home in Broomhill, and a member of the University of Sheffield Investment Group, which oversees the university’s financial and pension scheme investments.

He graduated from Durham University in 1986 with a degree in economics, then joined a firm of stockbrokers in Sheffield. Although Jon has worked in the same field since then, the nature of his work has evolved to now focus on managing investment portfolios for a range of private clients, trusts, pension funds and charities.

Jon joined the Governing Body having previously been the Chair of Governors at Ashdell Preparatory School, wanting to continue his involvement in the independent schools sector in Sheffield. His two daughters are past pupils of Sheffield Girls’, as well as his aunt and grandmother.

Outside of work he enjoys being active and is a Sheffield United season ticket holder, as well as playing 5-a-side football, cycling, hill walking and gardening. Aside from sport, he is interested in travel and theatre.
